Give Love Get Love
The greatest enigma of our beings is how we manage to hold together in our world which in itself becomes alienate to ourselves. But the answer is we still love and care for each other. “As you sow, so you reap” is a proverb which holds good for all walks of life. It is with love alone that for every love we give, we will get more love from others. For a long time, we believe that it is intelligence which gives edge for human beings over other animals. But philosophically, it is intelligence along with selfishness love which gives our separate identity.
Most of the world’s scar in history will not be if there had been love amidst ours. If there is no hatred of Jews, there would have been no second world war. If the love between Hindus and Muslims now in our country has had been there during Bengal partition or Hindustan partition, we will now be one of the superpowers instead of ongoing war between two nations for decades. Only if Singhalese and Tamils manage to give love and get love in return, there would not have been a civil war in Sri Lanka.
Today, to love our neighbors either person or country, we want to have a common enemy. India now holds hand with various nations to fight terrorism. But the question of why not have diplomatic policies and relations with all the countries and reign in peace is still there. The answer is simply today’s world is webbed with dirty politics. It is the greatest enemy for our Love.
Friendship is another form of love. It’s just not a mutual understanding between friends but caring and loving each other. Having a friendship with all our class mates, even though a simple task but helps us to have a love for our neighbors and other nations in our latter life. We may fight for freedom. We may fight for injustice or equality. But every fight will be in vein if we cannot reign in peace after such fight. Thus, it is love and friendship which will give us such peacetime in our life.
